The City of Lagos is where diversity plays a major role. The Aesthetic nature shines on Human's uniqueness to be shown in their Fashion styles and music genres which widely diverse from the secular ones. The word "Alté" implies Alternative. It disincentives the secular ways of things. This vibe is portrayed by the Young Nigerian Youth. Thus, it is a revolution yet to be captured by Africans.

The Alté Music genre flows from diverse young breeds like Odunsi The Engine, Santi, Amaraae(GH), ShowDemCamp(SDC), PrettyBoyDO, Tolani, LasgidiDRB, Tems, Tay Iwar, Zamir, LadyDonli, WavyTheCreator, etc.

 

The Name "Alté" was first used by the LasgidiDRB in one of their songs in 2014 which went on to have a song titled after such "Alté Crusie by Odunsi". This genre isn't really for the light headed but it tends to soften the soul based on the gentle Afrobeat used. It features less noise and is cushioned more on the somber side when played. It has been criticized by diverse personalities based on their fashion and sex.

 

 

Zero doubt, The Fashion sense of Alté is unmatched and really is worth it. Musically, it is soulful and helps man give a total and complete reflection on things around his environment. The instruments involved make for less noise and create a more calm and soothing atmosphere. It is majorly preferred to be called Afro Fusion by some the artistes.

So why don't you cool off a bit and get your playlist on an Alté exclusive, You're not gonna regret it. After all, music is Oxygen.

  Africa has been portrayed as a continent of the poor, countries with hungry children, visible ribs and bloated stomachs, war torn countries. Our countries have been written off as some of the most corrupted in the world. Though there's always truth in it all, that's about everything we are to international media and bulk of the international entertainment media who sees us as  the major destination for any portrayal of hut-and-bush inhabiting black people.
