My 2020 Movies list

So I'm going to be putting down a list of 2020 movies I'm yet to watch, note that some have already been released while others are yet to be released.
And in no particular order here is my 2020 movies list, 
enjoy!


Dear Affy, is a romantic comedy movie released on valentine's Day of this year, It is also the number one Nollywood movie at the box office right now!
It stars, kehinde bankole, Toyin Abraham, Enyinne Enigwe, Chinedu Ikedieze and a host of others.


Mama Drama, released 20th march of this year, star's  Osas Ighodaro, Kehainde Bankole, Kunle Remi, Shaffy Bello, Kunle Remi, Femi Adebayo Salami, Opeyemi Aiyeola, Olive Emodi, Rekiya Atta and many more. 


Unroyal I actually added this movie to my list cause I wanted to see the Nollywood icon Pete Edochie in a recent Nollywood movie, I feel like it's been long.
The other cast members include; Matilda Lambert,. Okon Lagos, Shaffy Bello, IK Ogbonna, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Linda Osifo, Adaeza Eluke, Emem Ewang, Chinenye Nnebe among others.


Fast and Furious 9 is an upcoming American action movie which has developed a massive following over the years, including yours truly, so if your a fan get ready for more awesome car races and near death crashes. 
The film will star, Vin Diesel, John Cena, Tyrese Gibson,Charlize Theron, Jordana Brewster amongst others. Sadly due to the pandemic the movie has been rescheduled for 2nd April 2021.


                   

Ratnik, To be honest I was really suprised on watching the trailer of this movie and if you haven't already guessed why, It's a Nigerian sci-fi movie, and Nollywoods first at that, So am Really looking forward to it. It's scheduled to be Released  on November of this year.




Fate of Alakada, the incredible Tony Abraham returns in a sequel to the previous movie alongside Instagram comedian broda shaggy. The release date of the movie has been shifted due to the pandemic and has not been confirmed.


The one and only Ivan is an animated movie based on Katherine Applegate's book of the same name, the movie will include the voices of Angelina Jolie, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, and Danny DeVito, though it was originally scheduled to hit theaters on Aug. 14 it has been postponed.


Jungle cruise is an upcoming American adventure movie, the wonderful cast makes this movie a must watch for me, it stars, Dwayne Johnson, Emily blunt, Edward Ramirez, Jack whitehall amongst others. The movie sadly has been rescheduled for 2021.


Soul, if you haven't seen the trailer please do, I don't think I can completely explain the sheer emotion I felt watching it and I just hope the movie lives up to its trailers precedence.
 The movie stars, Jamie fox. Tina fey, Daveed Diggs and more. It has been rescheduled for November 2020.



A Quiet Place II, Alert! Alert! If you haven't watched the first movie please GO and watch it, the first movie is an all time favourite of mine as well  as a box office success. 
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this sequel. 
The movie has been rescheduled for the 4th of September 2020.


Wonder Woman 1984, I'm not saying much here but what I will say... is, go and watch the trailer as well as the first movie, It's totally worth it. WW84 has been rescheduled for the 2nd of October 2020.


My love for James bond/ spy movies,  No Time To Die has been rescheduled for the 13th of November.



2 weeks in Lagos is said to capture the excitement and vibrancy of everyday life in Lagos and it's many complexities. The movie as well as being a romantic movie is also said to be a faith/Christian based movie, we'll see...
It features prominent Nigerian actors like Joke Silva, Jide Kosoko, Tina Mba, Beverly Naya, Toyin Abraham, Shaffy Bello, Fathia Williams, Mawuli Gavor, Tina Mba and many more.
The movie was released on the 27th of march this year.



Although lemonade premiered on December of 2019, I still included it to our 2020 list, and the reason should be quite obvious and if it's not I'll just mention our honourable cast members, starring, former senator, Dino Melaye, Ayoola Ayolola, Kunle Remi, Linda Osifo and others.




It's always important to leave the best for last, Avatar 2 has been the most anticipated sequel for years now and we're so close to seeing it, it's first movie which was the highest grossing movie of all times for nearly a decade makes me hope that this one will equally live up to its predecessor. The movie is scheduled to be released on the 18th of December 2020.

The true African Reality!

  Africa has been portrayed as a continent of the poor, countries with hungry children, visible ribs and bloated stomachs, war torn countries. Our countries have been written off as some of the most corrupted in the world. Though there's always truth in it all, that's about everything we are to international media and bulk of the international entertainment media who sees us as  the major destination for any portrayal of hut-and-bush inhabiting black people. Unrefined and impoverished is what Africa is constantly portrayed as in foreign movies and music videos. Funny! we find ourselves warming up to these notions, in fact we get comfortable at the thought of us been poor and primitive Africa, easily accepting to be at the receiving end of medical aids, relief funds, and donations.
